In the ancient traditions of China and Japan, the Hara, a point situated four to five centimetres below the navel, is referred to as the Source of Life.
Here we can find physical, mental, emotioal and spiritual balance. Hara Awareness offers a way to connect with this source of strength and silence within; a way, which, through awareness, can instil in us an acceptance of ourselves, and a love of our own bodies. Hara Awareness uses traditional techniques as a foundation for the method which has been expanded by Anando Würzburger to accommodate the needs of the western world.

These are the three centres: Hara – two inches below the navel; heart and head. The head is the farthermost boundary line – when you are farthest from your being you are in the head. When you are close to your being you are in the heart. When you are at the very core of your being you are in the Hara. And only through the Hara fear disappears. Only through the Hara do you live for the first time authentically, sincerely, with no fear. And that life needs to be lived. OSHO. This very body the Buddha, Chapter 4
